Harvesting colour

I love the fall. The colours of autumn passed too quickly this year, and I’ll admit when the snow started falling this weekend it nearly triggered a gag reflex. So before I accept that winter just might be upon us, here’s a little more fall. In the Okanagan, fall means wine harvest. It’s crisp air that cools your skin and rich colours that warm your heart. It’s processing the fruits of so much labour and the bane of my sobriety (yes, I just blamed my weakness for wine on a season). These images were taken at Painted Rock Estate Winery in Penticton, BC. The wines at Painted Rock are equally as stunning as the view, and if you’re in the area I encourage you to check out both. So for a final breath of autumn, enjoy the colours. Sigh… then let it snow.

Carey,
Love these pics! So many great ones. I am already thinking of ones I want to buy for next year for our visitors guide, the website etc. Beautiful job!

Gorgeous photos, tempting writing — my appetite is whetted. (Actually, more for those fresh yummy looking grapes than wine, but since I can’t buy it here that’s okay:) I have a new appreciation for the work of winemaking after seeing these, Carey.

Keep up the great work, I love to see it!

Dani
